The track is usually quite muddy at its lowest point but I have managed to push a buggy across it on numerous occasions (it might be impassable with a buggy after particularly heavy rain). Buckler's Forest, Crowthorne - this is a great walk amongst the forest paths, with loads of ponds with viewing platforms to enjoy. Even though the village is deep in the Chiltern Hills, this route is relatively flat so it's a nice easy stroll to work up an appetite before visiting the village pub that's on the route. Basically, you'll still enjoy all of the fun of the Harmergreen Woods, but instead of looping back round to the village, it takes you on the path that we follow on the second walk out towards Welwyn-Garden-City. It heads out west from Lilley, climbing Wardswood Lane and then the John Bunyan Trail before joining the Chiltern way to loop back to the start via Whitehill Farm and Lilleypark Wood. This section of the walk crosses our Middleton to Youlgreave walk (step 9), which turns left, upstream along the River Bradford.
